BCCA Titles – Within reach of every player

All BCCA members have the chance to obtain a BCCA Title by playing in qualifying tournaments and earning points. There are two Titles available:-

BCCA Master Title (BM)

• BCCA Candidate Master Title (CM)

Both Titles are totally independent of each other and the Candidate Master Title essentially has a different goal in mind; it rewards players who regularly play in BCCA domestic events and thus encourages entry. Therefore, the CM Title is within reach of any player

The BCCA Master Title is a permanent Title which can be achieved by fulfilling one of the following requirements (wef 01/09/14) :-

Amass 20 or more Master points based on winning or placing in tournaments as follows:-

12 points:
Winner of BCCA William Mason Championship
Winner of British Correspondence Chess Championship (BCCC)

8 points: Winner of BFCC Veterans Championship                       Winner of BCCA Webserver Gold Medal Tourney                                2nd place BCCA Championship
2nd place BCCC

4 points:
Winner of BCCA Postal Gold Medal Tourney
2nd place BFCC Veterans Championship Final                                          2nd place BCCA Webserver Gold Medal Tourney                                   3rd place BCCA Championship
3rd place BCCC

3 points:
Winner Class 3 Webserver Trio

2 points:
3rd place BFCC Veterans Championship Final
3rd place BCCA Gold Medal Tournament
2nd place BCCA Postal Gold Medal Tourney
2nd place in BCCA Postal Championship

There is no timescale.

Players who are awarded the BCCA Master Title will be presented with a Title Certificate and a Gold Medal.

BCCA CANDIDATE MASTER TITLE (CM)

The BCCA Candidate Master Title is a permanent Title which can be achieved by fulfilling one of the following requirements (wef 01/09/13):-

1. Amass 20 or more Candidate Master points based on winning or placing in tournaments as follows:-

10 points:
Winner of BCCA Webserver Silver Medal Tournament
Winner of BCCC Candidates Tournament

8 points:
Winner of BCCA Candidates Tournament

6 points:
Winner of BCCA Handicap Tournament
Winner of BCCA Postal Silver Medal tournament                                   2nd place BCCA Webserver Silver Medal Tournament                      2nd place in BCCC Candidates Tournament

5 points:
Winner of BCCA Bronze Medal tournament

4 points:
Winner of Webserver Class 2 Trio
Winner of BCCA Reserves Tournament
2nd place in BCCA Candidates Tournament                                               2nd place BCCA Handicap Tournament                                              Winner of BFCC Veterans Candidates Section

3 points:
2nd place in BCCA Bronze Medal Tournament
2nd place BCCA Postal Silver Medal Tournament                                   3rd place BCCA Webserver Silver Medal Tournament

2 points:
Winner of Webserver Class 1 Trio                                                             Winner of BCCA Postal Championship Candidates                                3rd place in BCCA Handicap Tournament

There is no timescale.

Players who are awarded the BCCA Candidate Master Title will be presented with a Title Certificate and a Silver Medal.

Each quarter, the BCCA magazine will display the accumulated point’s total of every player who has at least one point.
